STOLEN MK1 and MK2 Escorts Falkirk

Hi folks
Can we all keep a look out for these cars stolen on sat 26th am

Both were taken on a transporter and had been laid up for many years

Mk1 rs2000 Modena green vgc
Mk2 rs2000 Yellow with vinyl roof lots of rust

Any info much appreciated

the tow truck involved in the theft it's an n reg yellow transit pick up.. With garage services on the doors in red writing and 24 recovery on the bodywork no phone no or location on it. and a square orange beacon

could be a dodgy plate used but hopefully the recovery wagon will stand out.

Shame that.

Must surely be stolen to order 2 old escorts like that. Was it from a yard/garage/house?

Hope they are found.

If the transit has to travel some distance surely they can be picked up on Mway CCTV.

they were stolen from the boys house. in Madiston in Falkirk
the boy went out at 8am to go to a boot sale like he does every Saturday and the recovery wagon appeared around 8.30 according to the neighbors.

the green MK1 was sitting in his garage and the yellow MK2 was sitting infront of his garrage and hadn't moved in a few years.

Somebody knows he goes out every sat morning then.

its for sure the boy has been watched for a while. and theve known when to strike.. the boy had had the mk2 from new

theres a yellow cabbed transit with beacon on top in a yard near me, just driven past it.

Was a beaver tail jobbie though not a pick up.

Didnt see a reg plate.

funnily enough Peter ive heards it headed over Edinburgh direction.. try and get me a picture if you can
it was a yellow transit recovery truck so could be the the one.
is it a double cab or single?

not good at all, hope the guy get's his car's back soon in the condition they left him in.

there's been a few theft's like this round my way in the past few year's & the car's have turned up either over the border or in ireland.

all i can say is good luck in the search for them.

sad time's when it happens.

UPDATE my brother has now seen the neighbours picture of the Yellow recovery truck.

its not a transit.. Its a yellow LDV on an N reg with red writing
looks like an ex AA spec lift type thing.

I was speaking to someone last night about this theft and they said that crooks don't have to watch your house, they just try and get mobile numbers and can track the location of the phones to identify the best time to pay a visit.

my GPS is always switched off on my phone.

Don't think that's going to make a difference. Cell phones can be tracked using the triangulation between signal repeaters.
